Featured in West Dorset Magazine: History in the Walls at Beer Head

We’re delighted to see Beer Head Holiday Park featured in the April 2026 edition of West Dorset Magazine, highlighting the story behind The Lookout Tower and Signal House.

Perched high above Lyme Bay on the Jurassic Coast, both properties combine dramatic coastal views with centuries of local history. The feature explores the careful restoration of these unique buildings, from their links to maritime history and coastal defence through to their transformation into modern coastal retreats.

The article captures what makes Beer Head so special. A connection to the landscape, the history built into the walls, and the atmosphere that comes from being surrounded by sea, cliffs, and open countryside.

As featured in the magazine, The Lookout Tower and Signal House have been thoughtfully restored to preserve their character while creating warm, contemporary spaces designed for modern stays.

A huge thank you to West Dorset Magazine for the lovely feature and for sharing the story behind Beer Head.
